David Dustin Keniston 99, passed away at home in the house he was born in, at Rumney, surrounded by his family, just two months shy of his 100th birthday, on July 5, 2025. He was born on August 31, 1925 in Rumney, New Hampshire the son of Charles E. and Ginevra E. (Bailey) Keniston.
David attended Woburn High School and graduated on his return from military duty. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps on November 18, 1943 at the age of 17. After serving at Saipan, Okinawa and ashore at Nagasaki, he later worked his way up through every job assignment to become Supervisor/Plant Manager for Cambridge Thermionics Corp., later to Midland-Ross for 38 years.
On November 26, 1949, David was married to Helen Naiomi Wikman. They were deeply in love for 73 years. They traveled extensively for business and pleasure to England, Haiti, Mexico, New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska and almost every one of the 48 States. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family. He loved adventure, he loved life and he built things. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Helen Keniston and grandson Wesley Keniston.
He is survived by his son David C. Keniston and wife Ann, his daughter Karen Louise Roane and husband Edward, his son Lawrence Eli Keniston, grandchildren Caroline McDade, Jeffrey Borelli, James, and Chloe Roane, Phalen, Drew, and Blake Keniston, and great grandchildren Emma Borelli, Eva Keniston, Maeve McDade and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside Service will be held in Highland Cemetery, 72 Quincy Road in Rumney, New Hampshire at 11am on Friday, July 11, 2025. Donations may be made to a charity of choice. Dupuis Funeral Home in Ashland is handling arrangements for more info go to dupuisfuneralhome.com.
