David E. "Dave" Kline – 67 – of 199 East Ave., (River Bend Apartments), Hornell died early Monday morning (December 2, 2024) following a long illness.
Born in Corning, NY on November 26, 1957, he was the son of John & Kay (Thurston) Kline.
Dave grew up in Addison, NY and attended Addison High School. He resided in Bath, NY for many years and has lived in the Hornell area for the past 2 years.
Throughout the years, Dave was employed as a general farm hand, working on various area farms. He was also a talented mechanic and, for a time, worked in a garage in Bath, NY. He enjoyed watching car races and actually served as a member of a Pit Crew at Woodhull Raceway. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills Football Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Kay Kline; and his brother, Richard Kline.
Surviving are his son, David Kline, Jr. of Bath, NY; his brother, John Kline of Addison; his sister, Linda Rook of Ruffin, SC; along with other family members. He will also be sadly missed by his dear friends, Wesley & Lindsay Houghtaling.
At David's request there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
David's family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
