David R. LaMora

David R. LaMora passed away peacefully at home Thursday, June 6, 2024 surrounding by his family. David was born March 1, 1946 in Plattsburgh to the late Bernard and Lillian LaMora. He graduated from Plattsburgh High School and entered the US Navy from 1965-1969. He married Susan Marie Rivers at St. Alexander's Church on June 21, 1975.
Dave enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and most importantly spending time with his family. Dave and Sue had three daughters Amy (Brian) LaFountain, Liza Reif (Michael), and Christina Lagree. They have five grandchildren, Matthew (Jennifer) and Kristi Lashway, Jacob and Sarah(Kyle) Lagree and Maryn Reif and two great-grandchildren Lydia Lashway and Jameson Lashway and baby Evelyn coming in July. Dave is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as his brother Paul Michael (Cheryl) LaMora, his sister Bonnie Bixby, three sister's in-law Joan (Robert) Banker, Elenor Light and Anice LaMora. Dave, Sue and the girls were blessed to have Chris and Mickey Rowlson in their lives for over 50 years.
Dave is predeceased by his parents, his sister and brother in-law Carolyn and Paul Kyea, his brother Bernard "Sonny" LaMora, his brother in-law William Light.
Calling hours will be at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 11am-1:30pm with funeral services following in the funeral home chapel with burial immediately following at St. Alexander's Cemetery on Rand Hill Road.
