David Bruce Lee, 76, of Bowling Green, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 13, 2025. He was born May 10, 1949, in Fort Valley, GA to the late Milledge Bruce and Valeria Brown Lee. He was a 1967 graduate of Ft. Valley High School and a 1973 graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. in Business, where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
David married the love of his life and best friend Victoria Randall on Nov. 10,1979 at Plain Congregational Church in Bowling Green. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Adrianne (Joseph) Martelli, Indianapolis, IN, and son Anderson, Bowling Green. David is also survived by 3 siblings: Jean Lee (Brad) McDonald, Louis B, and Laurens (Kim) Lee, all of Ft. Valley. He was preceded in death by a sister Jan Lee, Ft. Valley.
David had a varied career. After college he managed his family's heating and air conditioning business, Bruce Lee & Sons, Inc. He worked for NFIB in Atlanta for several years. Later moving to Northwest Ohio, he was a financial analyst at Owens-Corning Fiberglass. He and his wife Vicki owned and operated Heritage III Auto Detailing for six years. David finished his career at Day Mark, where he excelled in sales.
David was a devoted family man of deep Christian faith. He was endlessly curious and found great joy in learning. He loved history and was especially knowledgeable about the Civil War. Other keen interests were fishing, reading, stargazing, playing chess and anything related to college football, especially his beloved Auburn Tigers. David loved food, especially seafood. If shrimp was mentioned his eyes would light up.
David was known for his cheerfulness. He had an indefatigably positive outlook on life, always focused on the good in people. He would offer encouraging words and helpful insights in every situation, no matter how challenging.
There will be a memorial service held in David's honor to be announced at a future date. Arrangements are by Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home. Online condolences and memories may be shared with David's family at hannemanfuneralhomes.com
