David Donald Lorencen

David Donald Lorencen, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home in Jackson, Michigan on July 19, 2024. He was born on September 8, 1953, in Jackson to his loving parents, Francis and Katherine Lorencen.
David was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Forest Vanderpool and William Fitzpatrick; and his sister, Mary Matthews.
He leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his seven children: Brandy (Dougie) Waddles of Kentucky, Tracy (John) Vanderpool of Michigan, Stacy Lorencen of North Carolina, Melissa Lorencen-Waldron of Michigan, April (Mike) Hackworth, Nicole (Terry) Fitzpatrick of North Carolina, and Daniel (Amber) Lorencen of Pennsylvania. David was also a proud grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and a dear brother to Judy (Mike) Bekemeier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
David had a deep love for his family and took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. He was known as a social bug, always enjoying the company of others. An avid cook, he loved preparing meals for his family and friends. David had a profound love for the outdoors, especially gardening and fishing. His passion for NASCAR was well-known among his loved ones.
In accordance with David's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, which will be announced to family and friends.
