David Marquart Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Oltmann Funeral Home - Washington on Dec. 3, 2025.
David Joseph Marquart III was born at a U.S. Army base in Germany to David Joseph Marquart Jr. and Ruth Sophia Marquart (nee' Clover) on March 10, 1955. He passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 70.
David's family returned to Washington, Missouri when he was about one years old. He grew up in Washington and graduated from Washington High School. He then went on to work in assembly for Chrysler until he retired. He married Karen Eileen Miller (nee' Lacy). They lived in Washington for many years before relocating to Rosebud more recently.
In his spare time, David was a member of the Union Saddle Club. When he wasn't participating there, he could be found watching any number of sports games. He was passionate about any sports including hockey, football, etc. but he was most fond of baseball and loyally supported the St. Louis Cardinals. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his wife, Karen Marquart; his two daughters, Brandi (James) Russell of Krakow, Kecia (Jeremy) Pruitt of Washington; three step-sons, K.C. (Heather) Miller of Collinsville, IL, Kevin Miller of Rosebud, Kory (Meredith) Miller of Bonnots Mill; four grandchildren, Kylye, Kynlie, Hunter, Tucker; eight step-grandchildren, Garret, Alyssa, Kiersten, Emily, Brady, Owen, Caleb, Quinn; two great-step grandchildren, Rilynn, Parker; four siblings, Gwen (John) Borgmann, Kevin (Shawn) Marquart, Krist (Jim) Breid, Matt (Shelly) Marquart; two foreign exchange students whom he treated as his own, Jose Manuel and Sabine Schicketanz; and many other cherished family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Joseph Marquart Jr and Ruth Sophia Marquart.
