David Grayson Middlebrooks passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, after a tough fought medical journey. He was surrounded by love and cared for deeply every step of the way. He was 64 years old. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00am at The Grove Church in Perry, Georgia. A celebration of Life will be held immediately following the service.

David was born on May 29, 1961, in Perry, Georgia. He was the son of James Paul Middlebrooks, Jr. and Donna Adams Middlebrooks.

He was married to his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Cynthia (Cindy) Lewis Middlebrooks, and together they built a life full of love and laughter. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, he had a way of making everyone smile. He loved a good yard sale, scavenging for hidden treasures with his brother, Paul, and sharing his finds with family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his precious grandchildren, who adored their Papi's jokes and playful spirit.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and granddaughter, Ellie Ann Westphal.

David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cindy Middlebrooks; his children, Melissa Westphal (Dominic), and Samantha Vaughn (Robert); his grandchildren, whom he was so proud of, Miller Westphal, Charley Westphal, Audrey Vaughn, and Addison Vaughn; his brother, James Paul Middlebrooks III; and his spoiled cats, Tiggy and Moe.

With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
