Sara "Marie" Dixon, age 76, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025. Born on February 19, 1949, in Macon, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Wilson and Willateen Wilson (Turner).

Marie was a gifted artist, known for her beautiful drawings and paintings that reflected her creative spirit. Her talent extended beyond the canvas-she was also an exceptionally skilled seamstress whose work brought joy and comfort to many. Those who knew her will remember her gentle heart and the deep love she had for her loyal dog, who was her constant companion.

Marie dedicated over 30 years of her life to Houston County High School, where she served as a custodian with unwavering pride and commitment until her well-earned retirement. Her work was more than just a job-it was a source of deep joy and fulfillment. Marie cherished the relationships she built with her coworkers and the many students who passed through the halls during her time there. Her warm spirit, strong work ethic, and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and she took great pride in being a part of the school community she loved so dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted son, Mark Dixon, who was the light of her life.

A visitation to honor Marie's life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.

With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
