David Nash peacefully passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 85. He was born on July 19, 1940, in Weatherford, Texas, to Marshall and Anne (Hubbard) Nash. David spent his early years in Dennis, where he attended elementary school and later graduated from Weatherford High School. His pursuit of education continued at Weatherford College until he felt the call to serve his country.
David enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably during the Cuban Missile Crisis aboard a ship in the Pacific. He achieved the rank of Sergeant E-5 in B Battery, 1st Battalion, 11th Marines, First Marine Division, before his discharge in December 1967.
A true lover of ranching, David was an active member of the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse for an impressive 53 years.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Nash. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Barbara (Faurot) Nash, of Weatherford, Texas; along with his daughter, Lisa Nash; son, Sam Nash and his wife, Gwendolyn Dowds-Nash; and two cherished granddaughters, Abbye Nash and Anneliese Nash.
