David Roger Petersen, born on December 28, 1942, in Los Angeles, California, departed this life in Riverside, California, on September 14, 2025.
Throughout his life, David was cherished as a friend, brother, cousin, and uncle. From a young age, he nurtured a deep love for cars and motorcycles, often found tinkering in the garage on an old car. His passion for speed led him to the world of motorcycles and desert motorcycle racing, where he formed lasting bonds with his racing group, The Invaders, who remained dear friends throughout his life.
David was fortunate to live in a supportive neighborhood filled with good friends, who provided him with companionship and joy. Special friendships, particularly with his dear friends at Webcam, brought an extra sparkle to his life.
He is survived by his beloved sisters, Elinor (Dave Buck) and Rosemary (John Jackson), as well as his nieces, Allison (Justin Wright) and Corrie (Steven Valle), along with his six loving cousins. David's life was further enriched by the presence of two special friends, both named Laurie, who brought immense joy and meaning to his days.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Petersen, and his cousin, Bob Aring.
