David John Pfeffer, a lifelong Waukesha resident, died peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the age of 87. He was born in Waukesha on June 30, 1938 the son of John Joseph and Elizabeth Jane (nee Eason) Pfeffer. David was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and Marquette University School of Business. David proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. On October 20, 1962 he married his beloved wife; Karen (nee Schantz) Pfeffer and together they have been members of St. William Catholic Church. David spent his career working for the family business Industrial Clutch Corporation for more than 35 years.
In retirement, he enjoyed volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and later for the Catholic Memorial High School theater department. David had a love for home improvement projects, model trains and tinkering with electronics.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years, Karen and their children, Thomas Pfeffer, Julie (Ronald) Weavel and Scott Pfeffer. He is further survived by his sisters, Catherine Matson, Margaret Filo, Janet Pfeffer, Helen Goetz and Alice (Mark) Emerick along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish-St. William Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188. A reception will follow. Memorials in David’s name are appreciated to Corpus Christi Parish-St. William Church, Catholic Memorial High School or Habitat for Humanity Waukesha.
