Albion: David E. Pieniaszek Sr., age 78, passed away August 12, 2025 at Medina Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. David was born March 2, 1947 in Albion, a son of the late Stanley and Dorothy (Rytlewski) Pieniaszek. David graduated from Albion High School, class of 1965. Shortly after graduating, David was drafted into the United States Army in 1966, stationed in Korea. He was a 30-year employee of GM in Rochester retiring at the age of 48. David enjoyed working on his cars and tractor, but received the greatest joy tending to his large garden.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, of 56 years; daughter Marilyn (Corey) Black, son David E. Pieniaszek Jr.; grandchildren Devon (Tiffany) Pahuta, Dillon and Haley Black; great-grandchildren Isabell and Mason Pahuta; brother Stanley Pieniaszek and several nieces, nephews, cousins. Loving canine companion Daisy.
David’s family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home 21 W. Avenue, Albion, on Wednesday August 20, from 4:00-7:00, followed by his Funeral Service and Military Honors.
