The team of Brooke USA sends condolences to David's family. We had the pleasure of sharing many moments with him as we spoke about ways to improve the lives of working donkeys, horses and mules. He was a donor and supporter, and more importantly, he was a friend.

Rest in Peace my dear friend , my confidant. You taught me so much in our short time we shared on earth together. There are no words befitting of my thoughts and feelings. I was blessed to have you in my life.

David was my first roommate at Yale University in 1962, when we were both freshmen. We stayed hall mates for next three years. In my circle of friends, he was the brightest fellow among us. We shared lots of laughs, dinners, dances, and good times. I will miss him terribly. Ken Bernhard
