David "Shag" Ricci March 15, 1978 - August 14, 2025 Springdale, PA - David "Shag" Ricci, 47, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. In typical Shag fashion, he left this world the way he lived in it-full of love, laughter, and just enough mischief to keep everyone on their toes. Proud of his Italian roots, Dave was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Hampton High School in 1997. He spent his career climbing-literally-as part of the Wireless Service Inc. team, scaling towers and building camaraderie with "tower guys" across the industry. When he wasn't up in the air, you could find him on the ground making sure the local ball fields were picture-perfect. Dave had a gift for bringing joy to others. Whether it was a perfectly timed joke, a sly prank, or simply flashing that grin, he could turn an ordinary moment into a memorable one. He was the kind of neighbor who'd snowplow not just your driveway, but your walkway too-so even your dog could stroll in style. He loved a good charity golf event and never missed a chance to rally people together-whether it was for a cause, a celebration, or just a backyard get-together. Above all, Dave was a family man. He was at his happiest watching Jordan's baseball and football games, cheering from the sidelines with unmatched pride. His son was his everything, and Jenn-his wife, best friend, and the love of his life-was his heart. He adored their blended family and loved nothing more than being surrounded by them. In May of this year, Dave learned he had cancer. He fought relentlessly, with grit, courage, and humor-meeting every day head-on and never letting it take away his spirit. He carried that fight all the way to the end, showing everyone around him the true meaning of strength. Dave is survived by his loving wife, Jenn Ricci; son Jordan Ricci; stepdaughter Ashley Walters; stepson Joshua Walters; mother Maria Acierno; brother Mike Ricci; sister Donna Bishop and brother-in-law Jon Bishop; niece Hailey Bishop and nephew Cole Bishop; as well as many uncles, aunts, and countless friends who will miss him deeply. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 24, from 4-8 p.m. at Dough Daddy Brewery. Bring your favorite photos, your best stories, and wear your favorite shirt-because Shag wouldn't want it any other way. Dave's life was a reminder that it's not about how many years you get, but how much you can pack into them. He packed his with laughter, friendship, love, and the kind of pranks people will still be talking about decades from now. Professional services entrusted to Thomas M.
