David Robbins Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
David L. Robbins, Jr. was born on Monday, August 13, 1962, in the close-knit community of Gifford, Florida, to Bennie Jean Heard and David Robbins, Sr. From the very beginning, David's life reflected love, resilience, and a steady determination to live with faith and purpose.
Educated in the Indian River County School System, David went on to graduate proudly with the Vero Beach High School Class of 1982. He later continued his studies at Indian River State College, where he pursued HVAC. With his gifted hands and problem-solving mind, he established a respected career as a small engine mechanic. His work was more than just an occupation-it was a testament to his diligence, resourcefulness, and commitment to excellence.
On February 14, 2020, David married his beloved wife, Margaret Adderley Robbins. Their union was marked by loyalty, laughter, and enduring devotion. To all who knew them, their love was a reflection of David's steady heart and Margaret's unwavering support, a true picture of partnership.
David's interests revealed his industrious and adventurous spirit. He found joy in renovating homes, setting out on camping trips, and tending to his garden with care. He also shared fellowship as a proud member of the Gifford Tigers Bikers Club, where he built lasting bonds of brotherhood. Among his closest friends were Bob Jenkins and David Picket, companions who stood faithfully by his side throughout life's seasons.
Rooted in his Christian faith, David was a member of City Church in Stuart, FL. His devotion to God shaped his character, guided his choices, and inspired many who had the privilege of knowing him.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, David L. Robbins, Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 63. Left to treasure his memory are his devoted wife, Margaret; his parents; his three sons and step-daughter; his siblings, Annette Bennett, AnnieJean (Sean) Harris, Donald Carter, and Donna (Sylvester) Bristol; along with a host of extended family and friends.
David will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, worked faithfully, and found joy in life's simple blessings. His legacy of resilience, faith, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Though his earthly journey has ended, the seeds he planted will continue to grow, bearing fruit in the lives he touched.
