David Schroeder Obituary
David was a masonry craftsman for many years before retiring from Local 2 in May of 2024. He enjoyed watching Detroit sports, especially attending Lions'games as a season ticket holder. He also loved trips to the Upper Peninsula, where he often fished on Three Island Lake with his brothers and nephew. A true midwestern outdoorsman, his other hobbies included deer and pheasant hunting. He greatly enjoyed attending local sports games, bowling and playing baseball with his many close friends.
David is survived by his 5 daughters, Danyel Hyde, Talysha (Charlie) VanEenoo, Shawna (Mike) Harrington, Hailey Schroeder, and Becca Schroeder; 5 grandchildren, Garett Hyde, Gavynn Hyde, Maylinn VanEenoo, Charles Elmer VanEenoo II, and Carla VanEenoo; 4 brothers, William "Bill" (Debbie), Gerald "Gerry", Robert "Bob", and Richard "Dick" (Tami) Schroeder. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Schroeder.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. My brother Mike and Dave were very good friends. Dave was with Mike when he passed and was a pallbearer at his funeral. I have fond memories of Dave coming over to our house and spending time with our family. In 2019, I had the chance to reunite with Dave and introduce him to Mike's son, Michael. They stayed connected ever since. My deepest condolences to his family and friends who loved him. He is reunited with his childhood friend. Mike and Dave are together again.
