On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, age 77, of Verona. son of the late Ruth and Les Schwab. Beloved Husband of Bonnie Schwab. Father of Jennifer (Mark) Wrzyszczynski. Grandfather of Keith, Brooke, and Eric Wrzyszczynski. Brother of Jackie Weikel and Debbie Ciccone. Step-father of Amy (Jeff) Dandy and Gerald (Elizabeth) Hayden. Also survived by nieces and nephews, preceded in death by his great-nephew, Micah Denmon. Friends received Sunday from time of Services at 1 PM until 6 PM at the Hahn FH & Cremation Services Inc. 123 North Avenue, Millvale, Dave served in the Army during the Vietnam War as a Green Beret in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. His medals earned include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Upon discharge from the Army, Dave served as a Police Officer for the Baltimore City Police Department, Eastern District, and the Millvale Police Department from the 1970s to the 1980s. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Va Pittsburgh or Shepard's Heart shepheart.org

I am so sorry to about Dave's passing. My condolences to Bonnie and Jackie and all of Dave's family. He is greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear that Dave passed away. I will miss seeing him sitting outside in the summer. He was such a great guy.
