Obituary David "Ted" Skinner
David "Ted" Skinner, 62, of Blackfoot, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at his home after an extended illness.
He was born August 25, 1963, in Blackfoot, Idaho, the son of Larry and Marion (Klassen) Skinner. He attended schools in the Snake River School District. For several years, he lived in the Dallas–Fort Worth area of Texas. He also spent some time in Boise before returning to Blackfoot.
He married Tina McKnight on October 13, 1990, in Texas, and to this union, two daughters, Ashley and Amanda, were born. Their marriage later ended in divorce.
Ted worked in construction, primarily as a glazier. He also enjoyed helping local farmers during harvest.
He loved to hunt and watch football. However, his favorite pastime was watching John Wayne movies with his daughters. He was very family-oriented and cherished spending time with his daughters and their families. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.
Ted is survived by his daughters, Ashley Skinner of Rexburg, Idaho, and Amanda Skinner of Pocatello, Idaho; his siblings, Herb Skinner of Texas, Hatasu Tankersley of Boise, Barry Skinner of Texas, and Kyatias Nelson of Blackfoot; his granddaughter, Karsyn Skinner, with another grandson on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Pat Skinner.
The family is under the care of Hawker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
