David Wayne Slider
Oldtown, MD – David Wayne Slider, 53, of Oldtown, MD, passed away suddenly Friday, July 4, 2025, at his home.
Born July 29, 1971, in Cumberland, MD, David was the son of Glenna (Whorton) Slider and the late Earl Eugene Slider, Jr. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter: Jasmine Blume.
David was a former employee of Trex and was most recently worked at Kennametal in Bedford. He attended the Bethel Assembly of God Church. He loved hunting, fishing, and anything involving his grandchildren, as David was all about family. David was also a foodie, enjoying all different types of food. He was also a big fan of John Wayne and the Maryland Terps.
Besides his mother, David is survived by his wife: Ula Kay Slider; his children: Dillon Slider and significant other, Heather McMillan; Alex Cooper, Tyler Cooper and wife, Angelina; Stacy Crowe, and husband, Derek; Cody Kight and fiancée, Lyndsay; and Colten Keech; his grandchildren: River Cooper and father, Mike Ritchie; Saleena and Stella Crowe, Sawyer Kight, Dalton Slider, Lacy, and Eddie; his brothers: Donald Slider and wife, Sandy; Doug Slider, and Darren Slider and wife, Mandy; and his nieces and nephews: Alexis Luczejko and husband, Zach, and their son, Easton; Mattie Cross and husband, Kevin, and their daughter, Collette; Brock Slider, Kyleigh Kennedy and husband, John, and their children: Gracie and John; and Shelby Slider and her daughter, Lainey.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., with Reverend Carolyn Wilson officiating.
