David was born February 13, 1938 in Flint, Michigan to the late Ervin and Helen (Kuberski) Steffler. He grew up in Clio, Michigan and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1956. On July 27, 1989 he married Irene Sutherland in Hawaii and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2016. Prior to his retirement in 1997, David worked for Buick-GM at Plant 81 as Tool & Die Maker with 33 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local 599. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and shopping. He loved to travel with his wife Irene and the Florida Keys was his favorite spot to go to.
Surviving are: Chuck (Charlene) Steffler of Clio, Dorlyn Williams of Flint, Darlene (Russ) Wolford of Sterling; Grandchildren, Devyn (Amber) Barrett, Austin (Kaitlyn) Steffler, Faith (Blake) Mitchell, Charles Steffler, Helena Steffler, Jerad (Becca) Williams, Sabrina (Dan) Davis, Stephanie Davis-Fisher, Ashlee (Ryan) Williams, Ethan Williams ; many great grandchildren; Brother, Joseph (Penny) Steffler.
