Mr. David Oneal Stephens, 81, husband of Arzella Barker Stephens, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, November 29, 2024.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Calvin Johnson Stephens, Jr. and the late Thelma Stegall Stephens, Mr. Stephens was a 1963 graduate of Easley High School where he excelled in football and served as team captain. His love for football carried him into playing in the Shrine Bowl and later he was inducted to the Easley High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He retired from Sergeant Metal and attended Newry Church of God.

David was an avid Clemson fan. He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting and golfing. David loved and adored his family and grandchildren, and had a strong love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of fifty years, are his sons, Jonathan Stephens (Amber) of Boiling Springs, and Timothy Stephens (Amanda) of Easley; two sisters, Loretta Hobbs (David), and Joyce Bridges (Roger), both of Easley; and his grandchildren, Kameron Stephens, Hunter Stephens, Madison Stephens, Nicholas Stephens, Mason Stephens, Silas Stephens and Julian Stephens.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stephens was predeceased by a grandchild, Breyden Stephens; and a brother, Gary Stephens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
