MILLERSBURG - David Witmer Sterrett Jr, Age 88, of Moore Street, died July 11, 2025, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center after a motor vehicle / bicycle accident on July 9, 2025 in Millersburg. He was born on July 3, 1937 in Armagh Township, PA the son of [the late] David and Mary (Mackey) Sterrett.

David was married to Rosalie (Howard) Sterrett for 58+ years.

David served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

David was a retired truck driver for MOPAC Rendering, Elizabethville.

He was member at God's Missionary Church, Pillow. He attended and served as an usher at Emmanuel Weslyan Church, Gratz.

David enjoyed walking, riding his bicycle, camping and travel. He and his late wife always enjoyed heading to Florida in the winter. He loved spending time with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He took part and traveled on missionary Trips to Arizona and to Honduras.

Survivors are two daughters; Karen (Kenneth) Crissinger, Gratz. Pamela (Donald) Leitzel, Lykens; A Brother, Martin (Gayle) Sterrett, Chicago , IL, 2 Sisters, Kathleen (Ronald) Napikoski, Reedsville and Maureen (Junior) Ernest, Lewistown; 7 Grandchildren, Nathan Crissinger, Joshua Crissinger, Aaron Crissinger, Rachel Calderon, Abagail Jones, Jessica Daley and Loretta Bower; 25 Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by Son, Chris Sterrett, sisters Joann Green, Judy Campbell.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz from 10-11AM Services with Rev. Eric Going officiating. Burial will follow at God's Missionary Cemetery, Lykens Township with military honors.

The family requests that memorial donations may be made to to Emmanuel Wesleyan Church.
