David Stone, "Stoney" 75, of Puyallup, WA passed away on 12/29/23. Dave was born to Gordon and Jean Stone in Renton, WA on 6/24/1948. Dave was raised with his sister Char in the Seahurst area of Burien, WA. He went to Highline High School, Highline College, Central Washington University, as well as the University of Washington. Dave then started his career with Boeing in 1968.
He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1968 and served in the Vietnam War.
Dave married Jill in 1978 and they had their only child Melissa. He retired from Boeing in 2008. Dave and Jill moved from Burien to Puyallup in 2019 to be closer to their daughter Melissa and their grandchildren. Dave has five grandchildren: Meagan (26), Brandon (22), Haley (19), Madison (12), and Maurice (9). He also has four great grandchildren: Ariel (7), Artemio Jr. "AJ" (4), Alejandro (2), and Eivor (5months).
Dave enjoyed many activities with friends and family such as hunting, fishing, camping, target shooting, playing poker, and visiting the casinos.
Dave was a wonderful person who was always positive, warm, and welcoming. He kept long time friends from all of his adventures in life for which he was very thankful for. Though he has passed on, his legacy still lives on through each and every one of us. His teachings and kindness are something that we will carry with us and pass on to others as well. An inurnment service with military honors will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th St. Covington, WA 98042 followed by a celebration of Dave's life. A date has not been set at this time, but will be updated soon.
