He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. David was full of life and loved Indi Race Car. He had a heart of gold and never met a stranger.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Helen E. Shaw and his grandmother, Mary Shaw , his brother, Tom Willis and sister, Bev Bush.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Gail Ravenscroft Thompson, his sons, Jim Thompson (Lynn), Mike Thompson (Penny), and Stephen Ravenscroft (Shannon), his daughters, Sherry Pope (Ted) and Janice Ashby (Dale) and one brother, Tim Willis (Stacy).
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15th from 3:00pm - 8:00pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. His funeral service will be Thursday at 12:00pm at the funeral home.
