David Lee Tobiasz

David L. Tobiasz, 77, of Sarasota, FL. passed away at his home on September 2, 2025. Born in Ipswich on October 30,1947, the son of Alfred and Alma (O'Brien) Tobiasz, formerly of Linebrook Road, Ipswich; he graduated from Ipswich High School, Class of 1965.

David earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1970. He later earned a Master's degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts.

After college graduation, David worked as a pharmacist at several North Shore pharmacies including a stint as the Lead Pharmacist at the former Cable Memorial Hospital in Ipswich. He relocated to Florida in the 1980's and was an active pharmacist for Walgreen's and CVS in the Tampa, Bradenton and Sarasota areas until his retirement seven years ago.

David is survived by his brother Robert and sister-in-law Ellen Tobiasz of Ipswich; his uncle Alfred O'Brien of Springhill, Florida; his nephew Jon Tobiasz of Lincolnville, ME; and his nieces, Nicole Murphy of Andover, Jennifer Tobiasz of Rockport, and Brooke LeMoine of Manchester-By-the-Sea. He is also survived by seven cousins. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his brother Stephen M. Tobiasz, formerly of Ipswich and Beverly.

His funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich on Saturday, October 11th at 3pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hour prior to the service from 2pm to 3pm. Burial in the family grave plot at Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich will take place at a later date.
