David Allen Tolson, age 66, died December 15, 2024, in Long Beach, California. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 24, 1958, and graduated from Whitmer High School in 1976. David served in the Army National Guard and went on to study at Ashland College. He then worked a 34-year career as a certified dental technician.
David was employed in dental laboratories in Ohio, Texas and California. He developed and opened his own laboratory in Missouri City, Texas and especially liked working in the quality control division of Trident Dental Laboratory.
As a young person, David enjoyed baseball, camping, fishing, boating, working out and weightlifting. As time went on, he could tell you where any restaurant in his area was and if it was any good. David was always willing to help others. He loved to participate in good conversations and going out to eat, enjoying Mexican food the most.
Surviving are his daughters, Paige and Sydney Tolson; father, Harvey Tolson (Connie); siblings, Diane Kelly, Dale Tolson (Barbara), and Debbie Tolson (John Boyd). Dave was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Marilyn and John McLaughlin; brother-in-law, Larry A. Kelly; and a daughter, Ashley Tolson.
Visitation and services will be held privately. David will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park with his family.
