DAVID EARL TUBBS was born on July 20, 1948, in the close-knit community of Trinity, Texas, to Willie Mae Stella Tubbs and Leves Tubbs.
From an early age, David's vibrant personality and strong work ethic shone through, setting the stage for a life filled with passion, dedication, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
David's educational journey led him to A. R. Turner High School in Willis, Texas, where he graduated with the Class of 1967. Throughout his school years, David was known for his charisma and ability to connect with others, qualities that would later define his professional career and personal relationships.
His spiritual foundation was laid early in life when he accepted Christ, embodying values of kindness, humility, and service that he carried with him throughout his days.
David found his professional calling in the automotive industry, dedicating many years to BMW of West Houston. His exceptional talent for selling cars earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious title of Ford Motor Company Top Gun Salesman. David's passion extended beyond the sales floor; he found joy in sharing stories, building connections with clients, and taking immense pride in his work. Even as his health began to decline, David's love for his profession never wavered.
Outside of work, David's interests were as dynamic as his personality. He was an avid collector of fine art, finding beauty and inspiration in each piece he acquired. His love for travel and the thrill of casinos brought him joy and countless cherished memories. David lived life to the fullest, no. Dava Hoc te 00 embracing each new experience with enthusiasm and appreciation.
David departed this life on Monday, December 16, 2024. He was precedec in death by his beloved parents, Willie Mae Stella Tubbs and Leves Tubbs: his cherished son, Reginald Glen Tubbs; his loving stepmother, Jerry D. Tubbs; and his dear sisters, Lena Mae Major and Lillie Mae Gilford. He also mourned the loss of his niece, Sheila Gilford, and nephew, Troy Major.
David's legacy lives on in the hearts of his surviving family and friends. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted sisters, Lynette Smith (Robert) and Carolyn Bolden (Tony); nieces, Deneika DeNali (GaNiece), Misty Limbrick Janal Smith, and Lisa Gilford-Henderson; and nephews, Curtis Gilford, Perryn Smith (Lillie), Wilson Major (Laketha), Edward Major (Katie), and Norell Smith. David also leaves behind his cherished God-Daughter, Imani Stevens, and lifelong friends, Michael Bell and Donald Blake, along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
