David Ray Weber, age 75, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He had been a resident of Alvin for over 30 years. David was born on March 6, 1950, in Houston, Texas, and proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the National Guard from 1969 to 1975. He was the owner and operator of D and R Foundation Drilling, where he worked with steadfast dedication and took great pride in doing the job right. David was also a devoted rancher who loved working with his cows and took great satisfaction in caring for his country home and spending time outdoors. He was a quiet, humble man whose strength was felt more than spoken. Never one to boast or seek the spotlight, his calm presence and listening ear were deeply valued by those around him. If asked for advice, he would offer his opinion thoughtfully and with care. He believed strongly in the value of hard work and led by example-working with integrity, reliability, and pride. Above all, David valued family and togetherness. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by loved ones, especially his wife, Wynona, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage-a testament to enduring love and partnership. David was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jason Weber, and his parents, Geraldine and Raymond Weber. He is survived by his wife, Wynona Weber; sons Jeff Weber and wife Emily, Joshua Weber and wife Kristal, and Jacob Weber and wife Crystal; brothers Ron Weber and Russell Weber; grandchildren Jordan and fiancée Justin, Lauren, Caleb, Samantha, Nicholas, Chloe, Hailey Jo, and Jason. He is also survived by close relatives Michelle Galvan and husband Juan and son Gabe, Anthony Schmaltz, Toliver May, Maegan Watson and husband James and children James and Audrey, Bryan Weber, Brooke Weber-Bray and husband Jared, and Brentley Weber and wife Joanna, along with numerous other relatives and dear friends. He will be deeply missed. A visitation will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas. Interment will follow at Southpark Cemetery in Pearland.
