David and I road the never-ending bus to Prep from Matawan for a lifetime. You get to know people very well thru that adversity and adventure. After school car pooling was a sport unto itself. We would all solicit rides from our various contacts and the sport was to see who could get the group the farthest the fastest with the best food stops. As quiet as most thought David was he was a total participant and co- conspirator! And we learned to never ever underestimate his skills and talents. Beware when David came charging down the field!
Facebook allowed us to see the happiest times in his life. His beautiful bride and gorgeous daughter were his pride and always made me happy to see the happiest times of his life.
My heartfelt sympathies to the family of our comrade of youth.

I was so sorry to hear of David's passing. My first memory of him was when, for some reason, they placed a piano in the school gym. My friends and I were amateur guitarists and, to say the least, we were shocked when David quietly sat down at the piano and provided us an impromptu performance. In all the discussions we previously had regarding music and guitar playing David, never once, mentioned he was an accomplished musician. We were all blown away. I remember David as a quiet, kind and gentle soul. I enjoyed seeing his happiness over the years as illustrated by the photos of he and his family on Facebook. My condolences to him and his family.
