Dawn Elizabeth Ames, 56, of Scottville, formerly Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Dawn was born on May 4, 1969, the daughter of Daniel and Sharon Ames. She was a 1987 graduate of Greenville High School. She worked as a caterer and waitress at Scotty's restaurant.
Dawn had a passion for creating jewelry, a hobby that allowed her to express her artistic talents and bring joy to others through her beautiful creations. She also found great pleasure in cooking and baking, often sharing her delicious treats with friends and family. Her love for her beloved cats was evident to all who knew her, as she often spoke of them with great affection and pride.
Dawn's creativity, kindness, and compassion will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.
Dawn is survived by her mother, Sharon Ames; brothers, Dan (Angie) Ames, David Ames, and Darcy (TJ) Rowe; nephew, Dan Ames; and nieces, Chris Ames, Heidi Ames, and Laci (Sam) Peitijean.
Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Ames.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Holiday Inn Express and Suites,4079 US-31 10, Amber Township (Ludington) from 1 to 3 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to Mason County PAWS Humane Society.
