Dawn Lynn Dize

Dawn Lynn Dize, of Hayes, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the age of 65.
Born on September 22, 1959, in Washington, Dawn was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, strength, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She was known for her joyful spirit and for the deep love she had for her family, which was the true center of her world.
She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially her cherished weekly lunches with friends. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Whether it was celebrating birthdays, attending school events, baseball games, or simply enjoying everyday moments, Dawn was always present with love, encouragement, and her signature smile.
Dawn is survived by her sons, Luke Dize (Susan) and Matthew Dize (Ali); her beloved grandchildren Mackenzie, Josh, Landry, Easton, and Oaklee; her siblings Jim Roberts, Russell Roberts, and Marty Roberts; and her two beloved canine companions, Lacy and Molly.
Her legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family and friends will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM to honor Dawn's memory. Dawn brought so much color and joy to the world-the family invites attendees to wear something bright and cheerful. In memory of Dawn, memorial contributions may be made to the Guinea Heritage Association at PO Box 411, Bena, VA 23018, or the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society at PO Box 385, Gloucester, VA 23061.
