Dean A. Leverenz, 90, of Collinsville, AL (formerly of Richmond, MI) passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at his residence.
Dean was born on March 25, 1935, in Mt Clemens, MI, to Adeline Pearl (Marker) and Arnold William Leverenz. He is survived by his three daughters, Dee Ann Kirk (Dwight), Jolyn Sue Irwin (Gerry), Lee Curtis (John) and his sister, Arlyn "Lynn" Chubak. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Dean is a graduate of the ROTC Program and Michigan State University. He enjoyed watching and cheering for his Michigan State Spartans.
Dean was honored to serve our country for 26 years in the United States Air Force. He had many assignments throughout the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia. After retirement from the AF, Dean spent 30 years serving his Lord as a Deacon in Lake Havasu and Kingman, AZ churches. He also enjoyed singing in the choir at his churches.
In his Later years he enjoyed reading, doing word puzzles and taking care of his precious dog, Daisy Mae. He Lived in Alabama with his oldest daughter, Dee Ann and son-in-law, Dwight.
Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold William Leverenz and Adeline Pearl (Marker), his spouses: Joy Ann (Goff); mother of his daughters, Nancy Elizabeth (Jackson), Rosalie Corrine (Johnson) and grandson, George Stanford Kirk.
The family would like to thank Heather Winfrey, Dean's long-term health aide, for her Loving and compassionate care. Heather was a ray of sunshine in our Dad's Life.
Our father will truly be missed by his family! Until we meet again!
Memorial services were held in Collinsville, AL. Inurnment will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2025, at Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, MI.
