Deanna S. Fry, 88, of Camby, passed away at home on October 4, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born in East Chicago, Indiana on December 20, 1936, to the late Arideo and Isola (Nutini) Ciardetti. Deanna graduated from Bishop Noll High School in Hammond, Indiana. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. John Comer's practice in Mooresville for 24 years.

Deanna married the love of her life, Wesley Fry, on May 14, 1960, and they shared 62 years of marriage before his passing in 2022.

Deanna was a faithful member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and part of the Women of St. Thomas More Club. She was also a member of St. Vincent DePaul, Kappa Sigma, and the Welcome Wagon Club of Mooresville. Community involvement was important to Deanna, and she devoted much of her time helping with Churches In Mission, the Old Settlers Queen Contest, and the Apple Festival.

In her free time, Deanna enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling to the ocean, tending to her vegetable garden, and fixing up her home. She was an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Bears fan. Most importantly, Deanna's best times were spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Mark Fry (Robin Thomas) and Laura Beth James; grandchildren, Brandon Fry, Victoria Fry, and Carlin James (Ashton Eicher); great-grandson, Saint Bundy; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Deanna is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Fry; and sisters, Martha Burns, Amelita Ciardetti, Vilma Juranovich, Joanne Kicho, and Fedora Coduti.

Deanna's Life Celebration® Visitation will be held at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Following the visitation, Deanna's earthly remains will be cremated, and she will be laid to rest with Wesley in St. John/St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana at a later date.
