Debbie Fleming Obituary
Debbie Kay (Carter) Fleming, 68, Warrenton, Georgia, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
Mrs. Fleming, a native and resident of Harlem, GA, graduated from Harlem High School, and MCG, then settled in the Thomson area with her life-long sweetheart Jimmy and their two children. Debbie was Baptist by faith and a member of Harlem Baptist Church. Her love for her family and athletics gave her a unique experience for anyone enjoying the games at her side. She was a longtime supporter of Briarwood Academy athletics and the Atlanta Falcons and could often be heard cheering on her teams. She dedicated her life to serving others as an Occupational Therapist and cared deeply for her patients. Debbie also enjoyed "Lake Life", fishing, was a talented flower gardener, and loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents John (Bud) and Annelle Carter; Survivors include her devoted husband of 47 years Jimmy Fleming; sons, Bo (Crystal) of Warrenton, GA and Bud (Bethany) of Statesboro, GA; beloved brother, Terry (Carol) Carter of Harlem, GA; her grandchildren, Cutler, Camden, Alexandra and Claryn Rae; her brother-in-law, Barry Abbott Fleming (Paige) of Harlem, GA; her sister-in-law, Kim Martin (Anthony) of Fairview, TN and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Warrenton, 206 S. Norwood St., Warrenton, GA, with Dr. Brandon Furr officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the church. Honorary pallbearers for the service are Eric Smith, Kelsey Jones and Paden Remkus.
