Deborah Kay Coville, 66, of California, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at University of Missouri Hospital. She was born June 1, 1959, in Fort Hood, Texas, to Bobby and Suzanne (Kirkman) Murphy.

Deborah graduated from high school in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1977. She had a lifelong love for animals, especially her two horses and her beloved dog, Kujo. Her caring nature shone brightly through her work at California Care Center, where she cherished her time with residents and coworkers.

She is survived by her parents, Bobby and Suzanne Murphy; her sisters, Patricia Parnell and Karen Meyer; her nieces, Avory Ledbetter, Murphy Werdehausen, Alicia Self, and Rachel Feeler; and her nephews, Chris Parnell and Ryan Meyer. She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Mike Zimmerman; her son, Douglas Coville; her sister, Cheryl Murphy; and her grandson, Anthony Murphy.

Friends and family will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors in Jefferson City, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Central Missouri Honor Flight.
