Deborah A. Fischer, 68, of Avon, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 13, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA. and was a 1975 graduate of Avon High School, where she was in the band and was an excellent student. Debbie worked for three companies in her career: Decker Insurance Agency, Timms Spring Company and 21 years at Cobos Insurance as Comptroller and Office Manager…earning the title "Office Mom". She retired in 2022. Debbie valued her relationship with Bob Cobos and the entire Cobos family. They treated her like one of their own. Debbie is survived by her mother, Dianne Fischer and brothers Harold (Lavon) and Dan (Teresa). She was preceded in death by her father, David Fischer in 2006. The joys of her life were her nephews Ryan, Cory (Halle) and Lukas (Katy) Fischer, great niece, Milah Fischer and great nephews Rainn, Owen and Wyatt Fischer. Debbie had an infectious laugh, she loved to give hugs, loved her Steelers, Cavs and Indians and enjoyed doing crafts, particularly scrapbooking. She was artistic, creative and enjoyed cooking. She volunteered for many years at the Relay For Life cancer walks. Debbie's family cannot thank the amazing doctors, nurses and caregivers enough at O'Neill Healthcare in Bay Village, The Cleveland Clinic in Avon and New Life Hospice in Lorain. Your empathy, compassion and love will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, Debbie's wish was for everyone to love their family fearlessly, hug your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you.
A celebration of Debbie's life will be in the Fall on a day and time to be announced. Misencik Funeral Home in Avon will be handling the arrangements.
