Deb (Heuker) Giere, age 65, of Coldwater passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on October 30, 2025 at her home in Coldwater. She was born on May 7, 1960 in Celina to Susanna (Dresher) Heuker of Botkins and the late John Heuker. She married Karl Giere at Holy Trinity Church in Coldwater and he survives her in Coldwater.
Deb is also survived by children; Rachel & Jack Robinson of Cincinnati, Beth & Mark Decker of Ashville, Doug & Sarah Giere of Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin, and David & Sarah Giere of West Chester, grandchildren; Noah, Riley, Connor, Mya, Kennedy, Elaina, Samuel, Isaac, and one on the way, siblings; Chris Heuker, Greg Heuker, Steve & Ginger Heuker, Phil & Jan Heuker, Pam & Pat Grimes, Matt & Joann Heuker, and Tony & Stephanie Heuker, and in-laws; Marlene Easterlin, Rick & Marilyn Giere, Cindy & Roger Brockman, Bill Bernard, Linda & Ed Knapke, Dan & Kathy Giere, Larry Giere, Randy & Cindy Giere, Nick & Lynn Giere, and Neal & Lisa Giere.
She is preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frederick “Fritz” & Betty Giere and sister-in-law Cheri Bernard.
Deb was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She worked at Copeland for nearly 24 years. Deb found great joy playing games and socializing with family and friends. She loved to read to and spend time with her grandkids. She also enjoyed completing the daily newspaper Sudoku.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday and from 9 AM to 10 AM on Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice, Mercer County Cancer Association or the Mercer County EMS. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com
