Deborah Anne Greene

Deborah Anne Greene, born on May 19, 1954, in Nyack, NY, passed away on July 22, 2023, at Elizabeth House. Deborah touched the lives of many during her brief time with us, leaving an indelible mark of inspiration and kindness.
Having worked as a devoted school teacher at Fletcher Elementary, Deborah's commitment to education was unwavering. Her dedication and passion for teaching earned her the well-deserved title of Teacher of the Year in 1992-1993 at Fletcher Elementary. Deborah's innate ability to connect with her students created an environment of learning that went beyond textbooks and tests, nurturing young minds to reach their full potential.
Throughout her life, Deborah pursued higher education with an unwavering determination. She attained a Master's degree in Education, which further equipped her with the knowledge and skills needed to make a lasting impact in the lives of her students. Her relentless pursuit of excellence set an example for all those around her, inspiring others to strive for greatness.
Deborah's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her father, William Alexander Greene; mother, Christine June Greene and sister, Linda Greene.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister; one brother and his wife; along with her nephew, niece and her husband.
Services to honor and celebrate Deborah's life will be held at Shuler Funeral Home. A visitation will take place on August 5th from 1pm to 3pm in the chapel, followed by a memorial service. Let us gather together to reminisce, share stories, and find solace in the memories we hold dear.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Deborah's memory may make a memorial contribution to the Shriners Children's Hospital or the M.S. Association of America. By supporting these causes, we can continue to make a positive impact in the lives of others, just as Deborah did during her time with us.
Deborah Anne Greene's untimely departure has left a void that can never be filled. However, her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will live on through the countless lives she touched.
