Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Deborah Kay Hansen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2021. She was born and raised in Ogden, Utah, on May 28, 1954, to Charles Jack and Carlyn Fraser Hansen. Deborah attended St. Paul Parochial School and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in Ogden, Utah.

She married Martin Leroy Ballingham in 1971, to this union they were blessed with two wonderful daughters. They were later divorced.

In 1972, they moved to Arizona and in 1989 she moved back to Utah and has been a long time Brigham City resident ever since.

Deborah was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

She was a small business owner of a mailing business, active in community functions, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Deborah enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, walking, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family. She was kind, non-judgmental, always looked for the good in others, and the epitome of love.

She is survived by her daughters: Tiffany J. McNeely of Brigham City and Tonya Sue Mick-Catalano of Texas; sister: Pamela Sue Stuart (Forrest) of Harrisville, UT; brothers: Charles Mitchell Hansen and Lance Robert Hansen, both of Brigham City; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Brigham City Community Hospital and Dr. John Markeson for his care and friendship.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 750 E. 100 S., Brigham City, UT.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you be kind to others as Deb always was.
