Deborah Jean Montgomery, 68, of Columbus, GA passed away after a courageous fight, peacefully at Piedmont Hospital North on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life for her at her oldest daughter’s residence for family and friends on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Deborah was born January 4, 1957 in Columbus, GA to Mrs. Avery Lee Leonard Jones and the late Billy Maurice Jones. During her career as a LPN she was known as a caring and compassionate health care provider. Most of her work as a nurse was at the old Medical Center Hospital, now known as Piedmont Midtown. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother.
Other than her mother, she is survived by her Husband, Joseph Daniel “Dan” Montgomery of Columbus, GA. Daughters: Chandra Ilia Rivas (Tony), Elizabeth Danielle Harris (Marcus) and Lindsay Deanna Montgomery. Grandchildren: Zoe, Julian and Bella Rivas, Marcus Harris, Jr, Natasha Harris, Nasceus Harris, Nyasia Harris, Nasir Harris, Naliyah Harris, Dee Dee Harris, Noah Harris, Daniella Harris and Prince Harris.
