Deborah L (Bell) Stanley, 76, of Indiana, passed away on Friday January 9, 2026 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 20, 1949 to Donald A. and Hilda (Johnson) Bell in Boardman Ohio.

Deb was a graduate of Boardman High School(67). She received her Bachelor's Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, and her Masters Degree the University of Georgia. She worked at Russell Sage College in Troy New york, Wilmington College in Wilmington,Ohio and then worked at IUP as an Associate Director of Career Services until her retirement. She enjoyed needle point, cross word puzzles, gardening, attending local fairs and cooking. Especially at Christmas time, making her cookies. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan, along with the Cleveland Indians and Browns fan.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years Aaron L. Stanley, Indiana, two sisters Patti McCombs of New Wilmington,PA and Susan Krobusek of Canandaigua, NY; a sister-in-law Diana Newbold and husband Brad, Marshall, IL; nephew John Newbold and wife Stephanie,Evansville, Indiana; a niece, Sara Newbold, Evansville, Indiana; and a cousin David Evans of North Lima,OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt Alama Morgan; cousin, Linda Evans and two brothers-in-law, Doug McCombs and Bruce Krobusek.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on February 7, 2026 from 12 until the time of service at 2pm at the John A Lefdahl Funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 635 Water Street, Indiana, PA 15701
