Deborah Tozzi Obituary

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA. in 1950, to the late James and Alvina Poland. Deborah dedicated over 25 years of her life to educating young minds in Gwinnett County Public Schools before retiring to pursue her passions in art, tennis, and music, particularly the piano.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Russell Tozzi; cherished son, Douglas Tozzi; cherished daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Derrek App. She took great joy in her role as a grandmother to Harrison, lan, Morgan, Hannah, and Sabrina, always cherishing the time spent with her grandchildren. Also surviving Deborah was her beloved brother, James and Gretchen Poland, and her beloved sister, Sally and Richard Anderson.
Deborah's Catholic faith influenced her life, providing her with comfort and solace in both good times and difficult moments. She was known for her warm smile and compassionate heart.
Deborah's legacy of love and dedication will be carried on by her surviving family members, including her husband, children, grandchildren, brother, and sister. The memory of her kindness and grace will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
The family will gather with friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm, with a service held at 7:30 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to American Cancer Society, https://www.cancer.org/donate.html, in Deborah's memory. May she rest in peace and may her spirit shine forever bright in the hearts of those who loved her.
