Deborah K. Wilson, age 71, of Shelby township, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025.
Deborah was born on May 30, 1954. She later graduated from Avondale high school in Auburn Hills and went on to presue her passion for animal care, working for many years as a dedicated veterinarian technician. Her love for pets extended into a pet shop she owned and operated in Utica, Mi. Always finding joy in creativity and connection with the community, she also owned a scrapbook store in Utica.
Though Deborah was accomplished in her professional life, her most cherished role was that of wife, mother, and especially Mimi. She married the love of her life, Frank W. "Tim" Wilson, on August 11, 1989, in Shelby Township. Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and countless memories made at their beloved family home up north, where they enjoyed fishing, nature, and each other's company. Tim preceded her in death on March 24, 2014, and Deborah carried his memory with her always.
A devoted Mimi, Deborah delighted in making every holiday and birthday magical. She was known for her over-the-top celebrations, like filling 500 Easter eggs and even dressing up as the Easter Bunny to bring joy to her grandchildren. Her home was always warm and welcoming, filled with blooming houseplants and flowers that she nurtured with care.
Deborah is survived by her loving children, Jason Wilson and Melissa (Michael) Wilson; and her adored grandchildren, Joclynn, Jonathan, Jo-Lyn, and Jamee. She is also survived by her sister, Sandy (Bob) Wega, and her nephew, Matthew. Deborah is preceded in death by her husband, Tim, and her best friend, Hanky.
Per her wishes, funeral services will be private.
