Debra Ann Cooper, age 65, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Missouri. She was born May 31, 1959, in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of the late Maynard Jay and Glenda Kaye (Bolin) Bowman.
Debbie was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and Hil Cres College of Cosmetology in Springfield, Missouri. She was the owner/operator of Just Deb's Hair Salon, in Mt. Vernon and was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Springfield, Missouri.
On August 2, 1998, she married Steve Cooper in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Steve; three daughters, Tiffany Blansit and her husband, John, of Springfield, Missouri, Holly Hall and her husband, Josh, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Casey Jensen; one son, Stephen Cooper and his wife, Denni, of Springfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Kyra Jensen and Xander Cooper of Springfield, Missouri, Erica Bendall and her husband, Ben, of Rogers, Arkansas, Emilee and Canaan Blansit, both of Springfield, Missouri and Adelynn, Lola and Zoey Hall, all of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; two great-granddaughters, Nova House and Hazel Bendall and one brother, Greg Bowman of Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home Mt. Vernon, with a celebration of life to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Rescue One in care of the funeral home.
