Debra Jean Dowding, 64, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on November 9,1960 in Elk City, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Jack Leon and Melba Jean (Roden) Furnace. Debra went to hold the hands of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center, Elk City, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family.
Debra married her best friend and soul mate, Phillip Albert Dowding on December 23, 1993 at Oskaloosa, Kansas. Together they raised their children and enjoyed many years of marriage together.
Debra was a homemaker and treasured spending time with and taking care of her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She enjoyed being outdoors, going fishing, camping and gardening. Debra will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing her memory is her husband, Phillip Dowding of Elk City, Oklahoma; two sons, Phillip David Dowding of Elk City, Oklahoma, Jackie Daniel Dowding of Topeka, Kansas; Oklahoma; one daughter, Leslie Denise Dowding of Topeka, Kansas; two brothers, William Furnace of Elk City, Oklahoma, and Glenn Furnace of Grand Junction, Colorado; fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Debra is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Leon and Melba Jean Furnace; and one daughter, Melynda Jean McCammon.
