Warwick, RI - Debra A. (Hargraves) Hooper, 59, died on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Kent Hospital after a very brief illness. She was the beloved wife of William R. Hooper with whom she celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on September 1, 2025.

Born on October 24, 1966, in Providence, RI, to Richard Hargraves and Muriel (Jordan) Hargraves, she was raised in Cranston, and lived in Warwick since 1994. Debbie graduated from Cranston High School East, Class of 1984, with the emphasis of her classes being in the Communications field. An administrative assistant to Dr. Helene Bradley, Optometrist, she previously worked in a nursing home as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Debbie will be remembered as being a good listener, a good friend to many and a trusted confidant to some of her friends. She was a member of Norwood Baptist Church in Warwick, and formerly a member of People's Baptist Church in Cranston. She served as a volunteer for IN-SIGHT and was a facilitator of a support group for people suffering with interstitial cystitis.

In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by two children - her daughter Laura Kenney (husband Stephen) and her son Steven Hooper - and she was "Nana" to Aiden Hooper, Emma, Nolan and Avery Kenney. She was the sister of Gary Hazelwood and of the late Ronald Hazelwood.

Her funeral service will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, on Friday, November 21 at 11 AM. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Thursday, November 20 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. After cremation, interment will be private.

Memorial donations in her name may be made to Norwood Baptist Church, 48 Budlong Avenue, Warwick, RI 02888. Condolences may also be offered to her family and favorite memories of Debbie shared online at www.carpenterjenks.com.
