It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra "Debbie" Lucas, Born on November 30, 1962, who left us on August 7, 2025.

Debbie will always be remembered as a loving, creative, and outgoing individual whose selflessness was felt by all who knew her. Her spirit will live on through those she leaves behind: her loving husband Rob Lucas, her devoted mother Jean Hillis, her brother Richard Hillis, her stepchildren: Ronald Lucas, Jr., Lynn Lucas, Dakota Lucas, and Cheyenna Lucas; her niece Alicia Jonsdottir (Justin), her nephew Clayton Hillis (Kathryn), and her grandchildren(who were her whole world), Ian Hillis, Brandr Jonsdottir, Leif Jonsdottir, Jordyn Burger, Zaniyah Wayson, and Blessin Lucas. Her fur baby, Oreo will be lost without her kisses and cuddles. She was predeceased by her father, Guy Hillis, who no doubt welcomed her into heaven with open arms.

Debbie's love language has always been food. You could taste the love in every bite of her cooking. She really had a gift for bringing people together with her massive, unforgettable meals.

Family was everything to Debbie. Although she was unable to have children, she poured her whole heart into niece, nephew, and stepchildren, cherishing them as if they were her own. Her legacy is one of selflessness and unconditional love. We should honor her by living with the same grace and compassion she taught us. Her journey here on earth has ended but her influence and the lessons she shared will be carried forward by her loved ones. Our hearts are heavy, but the warmth of her love will linger in our hearts forever. May she find solace in the arms of angels.
