Debra Lina Hord Montooth (April 10, 1955 – June 27, 2025). Debra Montooth, a devoted wife, loving mother, and steadfast friend, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on April 10, 1955, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Andrew Preston Roberts; parents, Ruth and Spence Hord; brother, Dennis Hord; and her faithful companion, Bandit. She is survived by her husband of many years, Kenny Montooth; daughters, Ashley and Alicia Montooth; her brother, Gary Randy Hord; and a wide circle of family and friends who were blessed to know her. A woman of abiding faith, Debra was a longtime member of both Laws Chapel and Outreach Church, where she found strength and community. Her gentle spirit and quiet generosity touched everyone she met. Professionally, Debra dedicated nearly 50 years of service to The Village Behavioral Health Treatment Center (formerly Peninsula Hospital). Debra enjoyed camping trips, gospel music, and most of all - spending quality time with her friends and family. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A celebration of Debra's life will follow at 7:00 pm with Reverend Mike Arp officiating. Interment will be held at 9:00 am, Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Grandview Cemetery with Reverend Onley Williams officiating. Condolences may be shared at www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com.
