Debra Opuda Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Par-Troy Funeral Home on Jan. 6, 2026.
Debra Jean Opuda (nee-Jaeger)
October 16, 1951 – November 24, 2025
Debra (Debby) Jean Opuda, of Stafford Township passed away peacefully on
November 24, 2025 at Community Medical Center at the age of 74. She was
surrounded by the love of her family as she battled various health issues.
Born in Hackensack, NJ to the late Robert & Elizabeth Jaeger. She lived in Saddle
Brook all through her childhood and was a graduate of Saddle Brook High School.
She was predeceased by her brother Bruce.
Debra was the widow of Kenneth Opuda who passed away in 2024. They were
married over 50 years before his passing. She is survived by her two children
Roberta and Kenneth, and three cherished grandchildren, Gabrielle, Kelly, and
Jared. She is also survived by her best friend, Leah, who she referred to as a sister.
Debby enjoyed the simple pleasures of life including family, food, flowers,
gardening, the beach, and most of all her dogs (especially her Gilligan!). Every
Spring we will remember all the pictures of the flowers she would send as they
bloomed. We will remember how she enjoyed any excuse to make friends and
family one of her famous cheesecakes, and how she always had a silly song with a
dance to go along with it. Her family will always remember the time they shared
at Long Beach Island throughout their lives.
A private service honoring her memory will be held by the family as per her
wishes.
May the memories of Debby bring comfort to those who knew and loved her

Debbie was a compassionate loving friend. Bill and I had so many memories of beach days, playing cards and just laughing together.
See was a wonderful friend who I truly miss
