Debra Jean Miller Watts, 63, of Bayboro passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Debra was a vibrant soul who cherished her family and friends. A woman of faith, she was a very active member of Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was part of the praise team. Debra worked as a Registered Nurse for many years, retiring after working with Dr. Christine Bounous. As her parents advanced in age, her commitment to caregiving was unparalleled. She happily dedicated her time and efforts to them throughout the years.
She enjoyed shopping and bargaining. Debra's fondest joy in life was being a devoted mother and a doting Grammy to her grandson, Hunter. She cherished supporting Hunter in his activities and loved him with all her heart. She treasured the life she and husband, Babe, made. Together they shared friendship and love and found happiness in the beauty of their home on Bay River.
She was preceded in death by stepsons, Joey and Brad Jones.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Foster "Babe" Watts, Jr.; parents, Robert and Evelyn Miller; son, Matthew Jones (Erica); stepson, Brent Jones; stepdaughter, Macy Watts Payne (Lee); brothers, Ricky Miller (Paula) and Randy Miller (Sharon); sister-in-law, Roxanne Watts; and grandson, Hunter Jones.
A funeral service to honor Debra's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 6th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Miller officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Celestial Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 5th at the funeral home.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
